Creating Opportunity for Blind and Low Vision in the DMV

The Aid Association for the blind of the District of Columbia (AABDC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Established in 1897, AABDC seeks to improve the quality of life and foster independence for residents who are blind or have low vision in Washington, DC and its surrounding suburbs in Maryland and Virginia.

Grants are available to not-for-profit organizations serving the blind and low vision community in our region.
